The Seattle MLK Jr. Organizing Coalition needs YOU! and YOU! and YOU! 

It's a new year and a new day for planning Seattle's MLK Day activities at Garfield High School. We have our first female chair, and are recommitted to democratically elected leadership and engaging young people in our planning. You can help in planning the march, workshops, rallies, job fair, community meal, fundraising, outreach, and more! We have plenty of work for everyone! 

Everyone who honors the goals and methods of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and works toward peach and social justice is welcome. 

Meetings are 6:30-8 pm, at SVI, Seattle Vocational Institute, room 401, 2120 South Jackson, Seattle

Harriett Walden and her colleagues in Mothers Against Police Harassment (now Mothers for Police Accountability) were working to reduce police violence and racial profiling, calling for police training in de-escalation and  in dealing with those with mental illness.  Harriett has long been a leader and participant in the MLK Day Celebrations.  I honor her work and her loving, peaceful spirit!]
